Employer Training Investment Program

Thank you for your interest in the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce’s Employer Training Investment Program. This initiative, funded with generous support from the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity (DCEO), provides Chicagoland companies with 50% off the cost of training and upskilling their workers. This is part of the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to helping companies prepare their employees for the jobs of tomorrow.

Training dollars are available on a first-come, first-served basis. In order to determine whether the training you seek is eligible for a 50% reimbursement, please review the program requirements below and then complete and submit the following form. After submittal, a team member from the Chamber will contact you regarding your eligibility and next steps.


Company Eligibility

  • Company must be a member of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce.
    • If you are not a member, a representative from the Chamber’s Membership Department will reach out to sign you up upon completion of this form.
  • Company must be physically located in the State of Illinois.
  • Trainees must be full-time, Illinois-based employees.
    • Training for part-time, seasonal, contractual, or temporary employees, or for employees working in other states, is not allowed.

Training Eligibility

  • The following types of training are not eligible for reimbursement: Professional Continuing Education, Skills Assessments, non-structured On-the-Job Training, Employee Orientation Training, Human Resource Practices (e.g., new employee onboarding and other internal HR processes), and Strategic Planning.
  • Ineligible expenses include trainee travel costs; training program development, preparation, or planning; conferences, workshops, and seminars; depreciable equipment; and consulting fees.
  • Upon approval, you will receive paperwork that must be completed and submitted in order to receive reimbursement.
